Armadillo Sunrise
This morning I watched a beautiful sunrise through the Armadillo conference room windows at work. Today officially marks the first all-nighter I've dedicated to the ProSLICand hopefully also the last, at least for revision A. As of 7a, Mike and I finished the last of the layout verification matrix, saved it, and checked it in.
Some random factoids concerning my recent life, for those of you who are curious:
- Since June 26th, I have had one day off from work.
- Since Mike and I have been burning the midnight oil pretty constantly for the last couple weeks, we've started just leaving our speakerphones on and talking while we work. Our longest telephone conversation to date was six hours and forty-five minutes. For a couple short times, Sherv, Mike, and I were all on speakerphone, thanks to the magic of Sanyo cell phones.
- I've been listening pretty much nonstop to a combination of the Foo Fighters album In Your Honor, "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service, di.fm's Vocal Trance channel, Justice Radio (yes, the City of Heroes web radio stationshut up, sometimes the music is pretty good), and Mahler's Symphony No. 5.
- At this point everyone in Starbucks knows me by sight if not by name, and they're more or less undaunted when I order 8 iced espresso shots.
Thought I'd be able to come up with more than that... oh well.
There it is.
Edit: Doesn't the Armadillo Sunrise sound like a drink of some sort? What would you put in it? Maybe some tequila, some sort of citrus... hrm. Suggest away.

Whatever it is, it can't possibly be as bad as the Green Violinist...

Postal Service, eh? I remember that I tried to put it on in the Fort Awesome kitchen one day. You and everybody else said, "TURN THAT SHIT OFF! GET THE OTHA REKKID!"

sweet fancy moses! damn, riad. did you ever know that you're my hero?
i'd recommend golden grapefruit juice, souza tequila and something red for contrast, with a twist of lime.

Tequila Sunrise = tequila+oj, then dump in grenadine and watch as it gradually difuses up from the bottom. Armadillo Sunrise would be some sort of fermented armadillo liquor in place of the tequila. Now, how do we ferment an armadillo?

fermented armadillo I think you'd have to do it like those fermented eggs the wholesome indigenous people of wherever like to eat---that is, bury it in the sand for a year or so, then come back and extract the essential fermented armadillo-ey goodness.
